S.E. Bitless Bridle
We never set out to be saddlers. A while ago we designed a bitless bridle and had it made by a local saddler so that we could use it on our own horses. In the intervening years we have used that bridle on many different horses, not only to help in the development of correct training but also as part of a retraining program for a range of different problems. We decided that this design is just too good not to share!
There are two variations available. The Jasper is a rubber backed leather noseband - we use this bitless bridle most often. It is a traditional looking bridle that is suitable for everyday training and riding. The Eminence has a rope noseband - we use this bitless bridle for initial retraining and, in some cases, for fast work and jumping.
Made from quality brown leather, the bridles have an ergonomic padded leather head-piece and a rubber backed noseband for extra stability. The rope noseband bitless bridle has inconspicuous soft brown rope (approx 10mm thick) across the nose.
We train using the principles of Equitation Science so these bridles have been designed with the clear application and release of pressure in mind. It is a straightforward design without a cross over. Both bridles are sold without reins. Please see the photos for our sizing guide. Although we are only manufacturing one size at the moment, the existing bridle has been fitted successfully to a range of horses from a 13.3hh riding pony to a 17hh warmblood.
